Description
Begin your tour at the shop on Calle Escalinata, 10, where you receive a safety briefing and Segway training. The route starts at Plaza de la Villa, known for its well-preserved medieval buildings like Palacio de Ciriaco and Casa de la Villa, former seat of local government.
Continue to Plaza Mayor, a notable public square since the 17th century, passing by Restaurante Botín, one of the world’s oldest restaurants. Then take Calle del Factor, a street rich in Madrid’s traditional character.
Next, visit Plaza de la Armería, situated between the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral. The tour continues to Teatro Real, a prestigious opera house, followed by Plaza de España, featuring the monument to Cervantes and statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Surrounding architecture includes Edificio España and Torre de Madrid.
Conclude at the Temple of Debod, an ancient Egyptian temple gifted to Spain in 1968, offering sunset views over Madrid. The tour finishes back at the shop.
