Description

Day 1: Barcelona–Zaragoza–San Sebastian (Sunday) Departing from Barcelona at 08:00, we will head to Zaragoza, where we will take a short stop to briefly explore the city and its history. From there, on to San Sebastián, where we will have dinner and check into our accommodations. Day 2: San Sebastian–Bilbao–Santillana–Santander (Monday) After breakfast we will depart for Bilbao. Upon arrival we will have a short panoramic tour including a chance to admire the impressive Guggenheim Museum building. In the afternoon we will drive to Santillana del Mar, a city considered a national historic site. After a short stop here we will continue to Santander, where will have dinner and spend the night. Day 3: Colombres–Covadonga–Oviedo (Tuesday) After breakfast we will depart from Covadonga through the Picos de Europa mountains, featuring splendid landscapes. Upon arrival we will take some free time to visit the city’s shrine before continuing to Oviedo. Here we will have dinner and check into our accommodations. Day 4: Oviedo–Gijon–Lugo (Wednesday) Following breakfast we will head to Gijón, the second capital of the region of Asturias. After a short panoramic tour we will explore the towns of Luarca, Ribadeo and Lugo in the Region of Galicia. We will have dinner and spend the night in Lugo. Day 5: Lugo–La Coruña (Thursday) After breakfast we depart to La Coruña, where we will take a short panoramic tour followed by an optional excursion to the Rías Altas in the afternoon. The excursion will take us through typical villages including Pontedeume, Betanzos, and several others. Dinner and accommodations are arranged in La Coruña. Day 6: La Coruña–Santiago de Compostela (Friday) Today we will leave for Santiago de Compostela after breakfast. Here we will enjoy a city tour of this legendary pilgrimage town, including stops at Plaza del Obradoiro, the famous Cathedral, and many other beloved sites. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city, followed by dinner. We will spend the nights in Santiago de Compostela. Day 7: Santiago–Rias Bajas-Vigo (Saturday) After breakfast we will depart for the region of the Spanish Fjords (Rías Bajas) through splendid landscapes, including views of La Toja Island, Ría de Arosa and Pontevedra. Arriving at Vigo, we will have dinner and check into our accommodation. Day 8. VIGO - MADRID (Sunday) Breakfast. We will begin our journey through the Ribiera Sacra and the Galician Mountains to return to Madrid crossing the Castilian region. This journey could be operated by train VIGO / MADRID.
