Monday — Madrid Arrive in Madrid and enjoy a welcome drink and orientation session in the evening before spending a night at the hotel. Tuesday — Madrid Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking upon a morning city tour of Madrid. Discover the medieval origins of the city, such as the Arabian fortress at the Barrio de la Morería. Drive through the courtesan district of the Habsburgs, characterized by Phillip II's Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. Discover the Madrid of the Bourbons — the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Citadel Gate. The contemporary areas of Madrid include Gran Vía, Castellana, Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste. You can also visit the city's financial and commercial districts, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring, and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. Explore these at your own pace before spending another night at the hotel. Wednesday — Madrid — Cordoba — Seville After breakfast at the hotel, get picked up at 8:30 and drive southward over the vineyard-covered land of Don Quixote toward the region of Andalucía. Stop off in Cordoba and tour its impressive mosque, as well as the narrow winding streets of its Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, take a 2-hour drive to Seville. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a local hotel. Thursday — Seville In the morning, have breakfast at your hotel and then visit Seville Cathedral, the second-largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter's in Rome. Continue to the Santa Cruz quarter, the setting of the opera 'Carmen,' as well as the legend of Don Juan. In the afternoon, take in the mouthwatering views and flavors of the city. The city's art, history and spirituality make it into a national monument in its own right. Discover the most impressive buildings by taking a tour around its narrow streets and the famous Damasquinado. Continue to Madrid, where you will spend the night at a hotel.
