Description
The tour starts in the morning at the Monastery of El Escorial, featuring the Monastery, the Cloister of the Four Evangelists, the Palace of Philip II, the Pantheon of the Royal Family, the Chapterhouses, and the Basilica. This UNESCO World Heritage site combines religious and royal history.
Next, visit the Valley of the Fallen, located in the Guadarrama mountains. This memorial includes a 150-meter-high cross and basilica carved into the rock. Admission to the basilica is included.
Returning to Madrid around 14:00, there is free time until 15:00, when the group departs for Segovia. The guided walking tour begins at Plaza del Azoguejo to view the Roman Aqueduct, then continues through the old town to the Town Hall Square, the outside of the Gothic Cathedral, and the Alcázar Castle. Admission to Segovia monuments is not included.
After the tour, there is time for souvenir shopping before the return to Madrid, scheduled for approximately 20:00.
