The excursion begins with a visit to the Royal Palace, at one time the residence of the Spanish royal family. Built in the 18th century, this is one of the most beautiful palatial complexes in Europe. See the Plaza de Oriente, the Sabatini Gardens, and the Campo del Moro. Inside you'll discover beautiful porcelains, tapestries, furniture, armor, and paintings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Habsburgs, featuring the Renaissance and Baroque buildings of Phillip II.
