Description

The tour departs from the office near Plaza de España metro station (line 3). The first stop is the Egyptian Temple of Debod. Next, cycle past the Royal Palace, Cathedral of La Almudena, Plaza de la Villa, and San Miguel Market to reach Plaza Mayor.

From Plaza Mayor, the route continues to Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Santa Ana in Madrid’s literary district. The tour proceeds to Las Cortes, home to the Spanish parliament’s lower house, before gently climbing to Retiro Park. Key stops there include the boating lake, Crystal Palace, and the rose garden during spring.

The ride exits Retiro Park by the Alcalá Gate and continues along Calle Serrano, crossing Recoletos Avenue to San Antón Market in the Chueca district. The return route winds through Malasaña, known for its boutiques and cafés, before arriving back at Plaza de España and the starting point.

This route is recommended for cyclists familiar with urban riding and capable of handling gentle uphill sections. It is not suitable for beginners or infrequent riders. Participants should be at least 13 years old and confident on a bicycle.

For an additional €10, high-quality electric bikes with pedal assist are available.
