Description

FLAMENCO ART TASTING WORKSHOP Enjoy a unique experience at the heart of flamenco art — a sensitive, rhythmic, and friendly immersion that connects the body, music, and the expression of emotions. This workshop offers a lively introduction to flamenco dance, suitable for everyone, with no prior experience needed. During a one-hour session, you'll discover the essential elements of this art: the rhythm of the compás, the basic movements of the arms and hands, the footwork (zapateado), as well as the relationship between dance and song. Every move turns into a way to connect, a conversation between you and everyone else. Little by little, you'll become dancers, percussionists, and spectators all at once. The collective spirit of flamenco—this group force where everyone encourages, accompanies, and connects—comes to life in an atmosphere of listening, joy, and respect. The workshops are led by experienced local teachers from Madrid's artistic and educational circles. Their approach blends technical rigor, cultural transmission, and the joy of sharing. The activity takes place in the legendary Amor de Dios studios, located in the heart of Madrid, an iconic flamenco spot where the greatest artists of the Spanish scene regularly train and teach. It's a real dive into the world of flamenco: a place full of history, sounds, and emotions. Groups are limited to 15 people, which encourages closeness and active participation. If you're a bigger group, we can split you into smaller groups to make sure everyone gets the best experience. You can top off this workshop with a 'Tablao Flamenca Live' evening, also offered by the MalvaLoca France–Madrid Association, to extend the experience with a live show. Participants can switch from being a learner to a spectator, discovering the magic of flamenco in all its artistic and cultural dimensions. An experience to be fully lived – a mix of discovery, learning, and sharing – that will awaken your senses, spark your curiosity, and leave you with unforgettable memories.
