Would you like to follow in the footsteps of a medieval hero and delve into one of the most fascinating epics in the history of Spain? The Camino del Cid is your opportunity to do it. This tourist-cultural itinerary invites you to relive the exploits of the legendary Cid Campeador, touring the landscapes and cities that marked his life and his legend. 'La Búsqueda de un territorio Mítico' Burgos - Soria - Guadalajara Vivar del Cid, Burgos, Monasterio De San Pedro de Cardeña, Lara de los Infantes, Covarrubias, El Puente de Langa, Castillejo de Robledo, San Esteban de Gormaz, Gormaz, Atienza. A Medieval Adventure The Camino del Cid is a route that crosses some of the most picturesque and culturally rich regions of Spain. From Castilla y León you will find majestic castles, medieval towns, impressive natural landscapes and a wealth of heritage and gastronomy that will surprise you. Itineraries and safe conduct (Burgos, Soria and Guadalajara) The route is divided into several stages, however in this tour we will experience the 'El Destierro' route from Vivar del Cid to Atienza, you will visit more than 8 towns full of charm and history, from Vivar del Cid, Burgos, Covarrubias, Castillejo de Robledo, Gormaz, Atienza, each one with its own legend, charm and appeal. You will get to know the landscapes, towns, and castles cited in the poem El Cantar De Mío Cid, and the legend of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar 'EL Cid Campeador' Pass The safe-conduct is the credential where the traveler stamps the stamps of the different towns through which he passes. The safe conduct is reminiscent of the document that during the Middle Ages was used to ensure the free and safe passage of travelers and goods. In an allegorical way, El Cid now grants that safe passage to 21st century travelers along the entire Camino. Here we present some of the most notable sections of this medieval adventure. Vivar del Cid, Burgos, Monasterio De San Pedro de Cardeña, Lara de los Infantes, Covarrubias, El Puente de Langa, Castillejo de Robledo, San Esteban de Gormaz, Gormaz, Atienza. 'In silence, intensely crying, he turned his head and stared, he saw open doors, dressing gowns without padlocks, empty hangers without skin tunics or cloaks, without falcons and without molted hawks. My Cid sighed, overwhelmed by his sorrows. I speak My Cid good and very measured' - Thanks to you, Mr. Father, who is at the top! This is what my evil enemies have plotted against me! There they begin to spur, there they let go of the reins, as they left Vivar, a crow came out from the right.' (Cantar del Mío Cid, first verses)
