Mercado de San Antón
The recently restored Mercado de San Miguel has become the perfect example of the fusion of old and modern in markets in Madrid.
Conceived for daily grocery shopping, it includes a number of stalls selling fresh fruit, meat, bakery goods, and seafood on the ground floor.
On the second floor there is a large variety of food for take-away including Italian specialties, Japanese sushi, gourmet burgers and more.
On the upper floor is the spectacular roof terrace featuring a charming sit down restaurant with great views of the surroundings which offers fantastic cuisine and a chill out bar to enjoy drinks and snacks all day long.
At La Cocina de San Antón restaurant, food is bought fresh every day from the market stalls.
Additionally, if you so desire you can purchase products downstairs in the market and the restaurant will prepare it for you for a supplement of 4€.
There are also another two charming atmospheres: a Chill Out Lounge to enjoy a drink and a cafe where you can have a snack all day long.
