The continual influx of people from all corners of the globe allows Madrid to reinvent and renovate herself daily.  Most people that live in Madrid nowadays were not born there, but all of them think of Madrid as their adopted motherland.

Madrid is principally a cultural city featuring what is probably the most important group of  museums and art collections in the world: The Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofía museums.  Known as the Walk of Art, it is the cultural core and heart of Madrid. There are more than 50 different museums in the city, including some small and charming ones.

Madrid is a very sunny city. The light and the shine of its blue sky without a doubt emanate joy and energy to its people who live their lives outside the limits of their own homes. Life is in the numerous outdoor terraces that inhabit the sidewalks, where cañas (beer) and tapas form part of the way of life. The good weather also encourages one to discover the city on foot.
