Reina Sofía

The Reina Sofia art museum was created in 1990 as a center of modern and contemporary art.

Built by King Felipe II and designed by architects Hermosilla and Sabatini, the building that was originally the Hospital of San Carlos where all court hospitals were centered, now houses the collection.

The museum offers several tours following a historical chronology, as well as alternative routes that invite visitors to create their own paths and make their own interpretations.
