Walk of Art

The Walk of Art, probably the home of the largest concentration of Art and Culture of Europe is surrounded by lush green vegetation and water fountains.  Art and paintings are interspersed with water and plants from around the world.

Near the  Atocha tropical garden, unique in its kind in the world, is El Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, which features avant-garde Spanish painting through time. Its most notable works are Picasso's masterpiece: Guernica, as well as works by Dali, Miro, Tapies and Gris among others.

 

On the same side of the Reina Sofía museum you’ll find  CaixaForum, framed by the unique beauty of its Vertical Garden.

On the same Paseo del Prado is the world's largest art gallery, the  Prado Museum,surrounded on one side by the Botanical Garden, with more than 30,000 plant species from around the world, and the  Retiro Park the largest green area of Madrid, on the other.

The Thyssen Museum, which was recently chosen as the best museum in the world by the French Ministry of Tourism, is also within splashing distance of the   Neptuno fountain.

Near the  Cibeles fountain, is the House of America Museum, which always exhibits art and collections related to the continent.
