Description

Toledo: Our first stop will be Toledo, a city full of history, which was the capital of Spain during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs. In its impressive old town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, you can admire monuments of great historical value. - Toledo Cathedral: We will visit the Primate Cathedral of Spain, one of the most impressive examples of Gothic architecture in Spain, with its beautiful main altarpiece and magnificent stained glass windows. - Alcazar of Toledo: We will continue to the Alcazar, an imposing fortress of Roman origin that houses the Army Museum. The panoramic views of the city from its terrace are spectacular. - Church of Santo Tomé: Here we find the famous painting by El Greco The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, one of the painter's most important works. - Casco Antiguo: We will stroll through the medieval alleys of the city, where other architectural gems are located, such as the San Martín Bridge, which connects the city with its surroundings. Aranjuez: After our visit to Toledo, we will head to Aranjuez, where we will take a break to enjoy the historic surroundings and take the opportunity to have lunch at your leisure. We will recommend some of the most outstanding restaurants in the area to taste traditional dishes, such as roast lamb or the emblematic strawberries of Aranjuez (depending on the season). We will then continue exploring this city of royal history, famous for its royal residences and spectacular baroque gardens. - Royal Palace of Aranjuez: We will visit the Royal Palace, residence of the Spanish monarchs, surrounded by the Prince's Garden and the Island Garden, both examples of Renaissance and Baroque gardens that reflect the splendor of the time. - Prince's Garden: A monumental space with fountains, ponds and sculptures, considered one of the largest and most beautiful gardens in Europe. - Casa de la Comedia: This house was one of the places of entertainment of the court, and is one more sample of the cultural and leisure environment in Aranjuez during the monarchy. Chinchón: The last stop will be Chinchón, a charming village in the Community of Madrid, known for its impressive Plaza Mayor, which is one of the most representative places of the region. - Plaza Mayor of Chinchón: This square is the heart of the town and is surrounded by medieval houses, with wooden balconies that give it a very picturesque air. It is famous for being the scene of bullfights and popular celebrations. - Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción: We will visit this Renaissance church, famous for its main altar and the work of Goya that adorns its interior. - Castillo de los Condes: Although in ruins, the medieval castle offers beautiful panoramic views of the town and its surroundings. Return to Madrid: After touring Toledo, Aranjuez and Chinchón, we will return comfortably to Madrid, where we will finish the tour in the late afternoon.
