PRADO MUSEUM TOUR The Prado Museum is known as one of the largest art gallery in the world and one of the best classical art museums on the planet. Opened to the public in 1819 as a showcase of the royal collections of the kingdom of Spain, especially during the period of the Habsburg kings (the house of Austrias) which owns a collection of more than 8,000 paintings and more than 1,800 on permanent display. This is a museum of classical art specialized in the Baroque style with an exclusive collection of Flemish art, historical art and private collections of artists such as Velazquez, Rafael, Goya (the artist best represented in the museum) Tintoretto, Tiziano, among others; with their respective religious visions they attest to the exquisite taste on the part of the Kings of Spain for universal painting.
